In the early ’70s, Luigi Chinetti Jr., the son of Ferrari’s celebrated US importer, decided to take a 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ and turn it into something truly unique.

He had the car shipped to Surrey, UK, coachbuilder Panther Westwinds to turn it into a shooting brake, the only Daytona ever so transformed.


The result was undoubtedly one-of-a-kind, and rather raffish, with butterfly doors for accessing the rear compartment.

Classic Driver calls it “a shining star from the twilight age of coachbuilding.”

Too bad about the twilight bit…
