2013 Tour de France winner Chris Froome just became the first man to cycle from England to France using the Eurotunnel.

Although he didn’t beat the train across, Froome’s time of 55 minutes did put the ferry’s 90-minute commute to shame.

The promotional stunt comes on the eve of le Tour making its way to France after the opening stints in England.

It took six months of coercing from Jaguar and Sky to convince Eurotunnel security to give them the go-ahead.
