We analyzed everything from the tire pressures to the length of the grid girls’ skirts, just to make this weekend’s race easier for you to enjoy.
Here are the storylines…
What’s on the line: It’s Silverstone’s 50th anniversary and, despite F1’s international status, seven of the teams’ factories are just down the street in England’s Motorsport Valley. All of them will be keen to win in front of the home crowd.
Who to watch: Lewis Hamilton is one of three British drivers on the grid, but the only one with a real shot at winning at home. Only problem is his teammate Nico Rosberg has the points lead and momentum going in. Expect the rivalry to reach fever pitch.
Underdog: Felipe Massa has been the perennial underdog for the better part of a decade (he can thank Ferrari management for that). But for the first time in years, both he and Williams are competitive and eager to bring home his first win since 2009.
Wild card: Sergio Perez has been nipping at the heels of the front-runners all season. The charismatic driver from Mexico could play his strategy right, land his Force India-Mercedes on the podium (did we mention F1 was an international sport?) and bring home some well-deserved points.
