Concept cars rarely make it to production unchanged, if at all. It’s a sad fact.

But Jaguar got so much interest from last year’s Festival of Speed special, they took a step back and said, “F**k it. Let’s build the damn thing.” (We might be paraphrasing.)

Project 7, as it’s known, will do 0 to 60 in less than four seconds. Though, it helps that the 5.0-liter V8 is supercharged and cranks out 567hp as well as 500 ft/lbs.

Expect a limited run of 250 and a price tag of $230,000 with production starting next spring. Gentlemen, place your orders.

But all that takes a backseat to the looks and sound of the thing. Inspired by the D-Types of yore, Project 7, somehow, finds a way to be sexier than the F-Type (no easy feat) and orchestrates an unfiltered sound reminiscent of vintage race cars.

Amid all the talk of lower emissions, we’re glad we can now drown it out with this…
