The new book Man on the Run: Paul McCartney in the 1970s chronicles the star’s fascinating/ weird/ depressed/ pastoral/ drugged-out post-Beatle existence.

As you can see, he spent much of that time in Scotland with Linda, Linda’s daughter, their English sheep dog (Martha) and their Land Rover Defender, and sporting Wellington boots.
