Say what you want about Eric Clapton’s mushy music—we won’t protest.

But there’s no denying he’s got great taste in watches and cars.

The Ferrari fanatic is also a die-hard Rolex devotée, as we saw with his ’67 Submariner back in 2011.

Now his c.1950 Rolex Oyster Chronograph is being sold by German online auction house Auctionata on June 28, with a starting price of about $65,000.

The gold timepiece is one of the rare “Pre-Daytona” chronograph models produced by the legendary watchmaker and as such it could bring in close to 10 times that amount.

And here’s a deal—if you buy it for us, we’ll never make you listen to “Layla” again…
