For whatever reason, GM always sandbags the figures on their performance engines and leaves it up to the people to determine the true figures.
Case in point: GM originally announced the C7 ZO6 was going to be rated at 625 hp.
Well, it just leaked that the true horsepower and torque figures are 650 apiece.
Which makes the Supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 GM’s most powerful engine… ever.
That means the new ZO6 has the new Viper beat on horsepower and can make the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta blush when it comes to torque (90% sits just above idle).
Take that in… and now remember a ZL1 is in the works.
