If you’re a fan of F1 history, here’s a chance to own a piece of it.
The ex–F1 Kyalami circuit in South Africa will cross the block at High Street Auctions on July 24.
Kyalami Circuit was the home of Jim Clark’s last F1 victory in ’68, an epic duel between Hunt and Lauda in the famous season of ’76, and it’s also where Nelson Piquet took third to beat Prost to the championship in ’83.
Usually when a lot like this goes up for auction, the rest of the world tunes out and only billionaires pay attention.
Not the case here, as no reserve has been put on the track.
Meaning it could very well go for a dollar.
Literally, if you have two pennies to rub together, you might be the owner of a South African F1 circuit.
Just hope no one else shows up on auction day…
