With the F1 circus heading to the ever glamorous and over-the-top Monaco GP this weekend, 2014 looks to be the year of the Silver Arrows.

Five wins from five races, the past four of which have been 1-2 finishes with Lewis Hamilton leading his Mercedes-AMG teammate to the flag.

Thoughts are turning to the 1988 season where Prosts and Senna’s McLarens took turns on the top step for all but one race.

However, the streets of Monaco leave zero room for error, so any wheel-to-wheel racing between Hamilton and Rosberg might end in the guardrail… and in tears.

We’re all for teammates dicing it up on track, but Mercedes would rather keep the gambling in the casinos.

Then again, when you’re in Monaco, it’s hardly a loss…
