Pharrell Williams is a card-carrying car phreak.

But the musical genius now says his luxury rides have lost their luster.

The singer/songwriter/producer/designer’s garage has held such gems as a rare black Ferrari Enzo, a Mercedes-McLaren SLR Roadster, a custom-painted Porsche 550 Spyder and not one but two Rolls-Royce Phantoms.

Now in an interview with GQ for his latest album G I R L, Williams says that back in 2006 when he was bragging about his wheels on In My Mind, he was actually out of it.

“I was so under the wrong impression at that time,” he tells the mag. “The money was too loud. The success was too much. The girls were too beautiful. The jewelry was too shiny. The cars were too fast. The houses were too big… My spirit sank. I just felt like, ‘Fuck, what am I doing?’”

While we coax the world’s smallest tear up out of its duct in sympathy, here’s a look at our favorite Pharrell ride:

The vintage Rolls-Royce Corniche painted by Miami artists Friends With You in homage to John Lennon’s psychedelic Phantom V for a 2010 N.E.R.D. video.

Possibly too loud, but probably not too fast…
