Last September, we first told you about Mercedes’ Concept S-Class Coupe, an ultra-luxe two-door delight designed to sit atop Benz’s product range.
Now, some real pix of the car have cropped up in advance of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Replacing the CL-Class when it goes on sale here in the fall, it will be available as the S550 Coupe 4MATIC with a 4.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 good for 449 hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
No word yet on the price, but it will command a premium over the S550 sedan, currently based at $92,900.
So we’re talking six figures, and with the CL-Class it’s replacing going for $116K plus, we could be looking at around $125K.
That kind of dough will buy you four entry-level CLA-Class cars. But only the S-Class Coupe has Swarovski crystal headlights…
