As far as supercars go, the Honda NSX (sold as Acura in the US) was an icon of its time. When it comes to auctions, though, it doesn’t usually garner the status of, say, a Ferrari.

However, this NSX in particular was the legendary Ayrton Senna’s personal ride. His close friend and mentor, Antonio Carlos de Almieda Braga, bought it for Senna so he had a set of wheels when he visited Braga in Portugal.

Slated to bring in around $138,000 at Silverstone Auctions’ Race Retro & Classic Car Sale on February 22—a severe underestimate, we suspect—it only has 31,800 miles on it.

With a friend like Braga, we’re sure Senna made sure to visit Portugal as often as possible.
