This knockout British-made 1969 Lola T70 Mk IIIb racer will be offered at RM Auctions’ Paris sale during Retromobile week in February.
One of the oldest and largest manufacturers of racing cars in the world, Lola was founded in 1958 and introduced the first T70 in 1965.
The model, which shared some DNA with the Ford GT40, found early success at the Monterey Grand Prix and went on to accumulate many racing laurels.
Lola T70s were also the workhorses in Steve McQueen’s 1971 flick Le Mans, appearing under Porsche and Ferrari bodywork in some fast-paced scenes.
Although, we think you’ll agree, the T70 is plenty beautiful in its own skin…
