Few cars have as colorful a competition history as this 1929 Bugatti 37A/35B, a four-cylinder Grand Prix model raced by a succession of colorful owners.
In the 1940s, it was acquired by Lady Mary Grosvenor, daughter of the Duke of Westminster, who promptlyset the ladies’ Bugatti race record at the UK’s famed Prescott Speed Hill Climb in June 1947—a record that stood for 35 years.
Which is why it’s expected to bring in up to about $2.5 million at Bonhams Grand Palais Sale in Paris on February 6.
