Over the summer, we brought you our man James Lamdin’s report from behind the wheel of the AEV Brute, an amped-up Jeep Wrangler designed to be the ultimate American 4×4.

Now the Michigan-based company American Expedition Vehicles has partnered with essential outdoor outfitters Filson, the Seattle icon founded in 1897.

The Filson Edition AEV Brute has incomparable off-road chops and is available with a monster 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine, but the interior features are what’s got us checking under the sofa for a spare $130,000.

The seats are upholstered with signature Filson hardwearing leather and its patented tin-cloth twill, and there’s built-in storage satchels as well as a pair of the brand’s Rugged Twill Bags to store gear.

These are custom-order jobs at the aforementioned $130K, a steep sticker to be sure, but far more practical than a supercar for the same price.

At least that’s what you can tell your accountant…
