In 1959, MINI won the Mille Miglia, followed by three Monte Carlo Rally victories in the ’60s, firmly cementing its reputation as the little car that could.
More recently, the marque has made mincemeat of the Rally Dakar, the toughest endurance rally in the world, with the MINI ALL4 Racing model, which won in both 2012 and 2013.
On January 5, 11 ALL4s will set off to claim another victory under the auspices of the Monster Energy X-Raid team, with 13 grueling days of South American terrain between them and the trophy.
