An ultra-rare 1955 Austin-Healey 100S that raced in America will be sold by Bonhams at its Gran Palais sale on February 6 as part of Retromobile Week in Paris.

One of only 50 ever built, it’s expected to bring in up to a million bucks.

The British sports car raced in the 1955 Sebring 12-hour race and the Nassau trophy road races in addition to various East Coast USA races in its early days.

Then it went to Maine and spent 40 years in a shed (happens).

Restored and reborn, it then competed in the 2009 Mille Miglia.

To sum up: a very well-bred Brit that’s spent enough time in America to be thoroughly de-sensitized to our uncouth ways…
