Legendary jazzman Donald Byrd’s signature “hard bop” style puts him in the top 10 of any trumpet fan’s list, but aside from being one of the world’s most talented musicians, he was also something of a car nut.
Byrd’s love of fast wheels can be seen on the cover of his records like A New Perspective, which showed him leaning on a Jaguar E-Type.
For 1959′s Off to the Races, the vehicle of choice was a sleek Mercedes-Benz 190SL.
