There are one-off Rivas and then there’s this: the Aquarama Lamborghini.

It’s a three-year restoration project by Dutch specialist Riva-World, and it returned Ferruccio Lamborghini’s custom Riva to its original condition. And it’s… well, it’s pretty damn beautiful.

With 700 horsepower, it was and is the fastest Aquarama in the world.

While Ferruccio originally demanded it be built in three months, it took Riva-World a little longer to source two original four-liter Lamborghini 350 GT V-12 engines. Go figure. But with 700 horsepower, it was and is the fastest Aquarama in the world.

So to recap: Ferruccio buys a Ferrari, tells Enzo Ferrari how to make it better… Ferruccio buys a Riva Aquarama, tells Carlos Riva to try again…

Ferruccio Lamborghini: telling people to do it again, but better, since 1916…
