For the past 25 years, Lister Cars, one the greatest names in British sports racing, has been all but defunct.
That’s about to change when the company cranks up production once again in Cambridge, UK, on the legendary Lister “Knobbly” Jaguar that made racing history in the 1950s.
After a gap of almost 25 years since the last Lister rolled off the production line, the three Lister companies of George Lister Engineering of Cambridge, Brian Lister Light Engineering and Lister Storm, have been reunited into one organization that will herald the return of one of the greatest sports racing cars of the 1950s—the fabulous Lister “Knobbly” Jaguar.
Running out of a new, state-of-the-art facility in Cambridge, Lister will build a modern version of the car in which Stirling Moss won at Silverstone in 1958. If you think you’re the new Moss—Stirling, not Kate—this could be your chance to prove it…
