Nürburg, Germany, is home to one of the most famous racetracks in the world: the Nürburgring.
Except it technically isn’t a racetrack. It’s actually a public toll road (sans oncoming traffic) that doesn’t go anywhere.
And apparently, for anonymous YouTube user AfroDuck, Germany’s just too damn far away.
Start/finish: around 116th Street. Car of choice: Stock 2006 BMW Z4.
Understated, yet understandable.
AfroDuck set off southbound on FDR Drive with intentions to set the record for looping the island of Manhattan. Which he did, at 24 minutes and 7 seconds.
NYPD got wind of the video and weren’t too happy. They announced a citywide manhunt for the mysterious driver.
Something tells me a plane ticket to Nürburg, Germany, might end up being cheaper than the one the cop writes Mr. AfroDuck…
