“My life really started once I started racing. With acting, I’ve never felt comfortable. I’ve never felt like I belong in the acting community.”
No, those aren’t the words of McQueen.
The orator of those words is better known as McDreamy.
Believe it. Patrick Dempsey, from Grey’s Anatomy, has all but left the world of Hollywood to follow in the footsteps of greats like McQueen and Newman on the racetrack.
Last week, the Velocity Channel aired part one of a four-part documentary that follows Dempsey on his road to the fabled Le Mans, which continues tonight with part two.
Although he’s been racing sports cars for a few years, he decided to start his own race team with a Lola LMP1 racer… just in time for the British race car manufacturer to file for bankruptcy.
McDreamy quits Hollywood. McDreamy starts racing. McDreamy becomes true Hollywood underdog. Oh, the irony…
