You could say that our fascination with the Porsche 911, the most beautiful sports car of all time, borders on obsession.
An armada of racing Porsches for the 911′s 50th anniversary
We’re not ashamed to admit it.
And as we’ve noted in several posts already, since this year marks the 911′s 50th anniversary, there’s no reason not to give it full throttle.
There were of course hundreds of 911s on hand for Pebble Beach, but the most beautiful collection of the cars was to be found at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
The armada of 911s in racing guise ran the gamut from early competition models to the brand-new GT3 Cup Car (above), a speed demon if ever we’ve seen one.

And while picking a favorite isn’t easy, we’re rather partial to anything curvy in Martini Racing livery.
