The Beatle acquired the bright blue sports car on the day he passed his driving test, not long after the band recorded their smash hit “Ticket to Ride.”
The car, which Lennon kept at his Surrey mansion and used for three years, comes with an extensive history file documenting its provenance and restoration, including correspondence with Lennon.
It’s expected to fetch up to about $350,000, which might sound low but can be ascribed to the fact that the 330GT is one of the least valuable vintage Ferraris.
No amount of Beatles fingerprints can change that…
