Gable Goes Overland
In 1953′s Mogambo, Clark Gable plays big game hunter Victor Marswell, a man’s man caught between two temptresses—the saucy ”Honey Bear” Kelly played by Ava Gardner, and the ice princess Linda Nordley played by Grace Kelly—at his safari camp in Africa.
Aside from the predators of the female variety, Marswell has to deal with restless natives, hungry lions and demon rum.
Of course only a Land Rover can be relied upon to see him through his trials and tribulations—or at least get him from one to the other…
