As mentioned, we’ll be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911, our all-time favorite sports car, this year.
As such, we’ll offer various vignettes of the iconic model over the years, starting with this important moment in the history of the curvaceous vehicle.
In 1967, Vic Elford, who would go on to become a Formula 1 legend, won the first official Rallycross in a brand-new 911 at Lydden, UK.
The car was a loaner from British Porsche importer AFN, and though it did come back victorious, it certainly was no longer in showroom condition…
