It turns out Maseratis are every bit as speedy at sea as on land.
The Italian automaker’s 70-foot sailboat helmed by Italy’s Giovanni Soldini, which we told you about last year, just set a new world speed record for the so-called “Golden Route” from New York to San Francisco via Cape Horn.
The trip took them 47 days, 0 hours, 42 minutes and 29 seconds, which is a lot faster than it sounds.
