Mercedes-Benz tuner Brabus gets its kicks by injecting the German marque’s fastest models with even more ridiculous power.
One of its perennial favorites in that department is Benz’s AMG-enhanced G-Wagen, a military vehicle with supercar performance that flies in the face of all things ecological, to our eternal delight.
In the run-up to the Geneva Motor Show, Brabus has unveiled the G800, based on the new G65 AMG, which kicks out 616 hp from its 6.0-liter V12 AMG engine.
Brabus has added new twin-turbos and other upgrades to crank that up to an eye-popping 800 hp, shaving 1.1 seconds off the SUV’s 0 to 62 mph time, which now stands at 4.2 seconds.
That’s a hell of a lot of metal to move along at warp speed…
