It may sound like something from a Monty Python skit, but in 1960s Britain, the Humber Super Snipe was the last word in refined motoring.
As this ad from the Illustrated London News attested, it was able to “glide effortlessly and naturally into the most gracious way of life,” thanks to a powerful engine capable of 100 mph mated to English leather upholstery and “styling at a truly aristocratic level.”
The end result?
A “Lord-of-the-Manor feeling every time you settle behind the wheel.”
Sounds pretty sweet to us…
