James Bond’s Aston Martin may be worth $4.6 million, but that’s peanuts compared to this example of Britain’s best.

Behold the one-off 1960 Aston Martin DB4GT “Jet,” expected to bring in up to about $6 million at Bonhams’ 14th annual sale at the Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell, UK, on May 18.

In 1960, Aston Martin commissioned Bertone to build a special Gran Turismo version of the DB4GT to be premiered at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show.

The finished design was nicknamed the “Jet” for its sinuous lines and quickly became an icon of automotive design, eclipsing even that of the famed secret agent’s DB5, which was after all just a jazzed-up production car.

Don’t tell 007 or he may get dangerously jealous…
