Frank Strothe recently went on a journey through Norway’s North Cape, one of the most northerly points in Europe, in his classic 1966 Porsche 911 SWB.
The unrestored car was equipped with little more in the way of cold-weather gear than a set of snow tires, but the vehicle proved equal to the task of crossing the frozen wasteland aside from one episode where Strothe had to be rescued from a snowdrift by a bunch of amused locals.
In the end the 911 performed admirably, and even had to jump-start the modern Land Rover Discovery Strothe used to trailer the Porsche in from Germany.
