By now, you’re no doubt well aware that only those who have achieved true icon status receive the DRIVEN equivalent of a birthday card.
Faye Dunaway, who celebrates her 71st this week, is indisputably among their number.
Chinatown and Bonnie and Clyde have their boosters, but around here Ms. Dunaway is revered chiefly for her role opposite our man Steve McQueen in 1968′s The Thomas Crown Affair.
As sexy insurance investigator Vicki Anderson, she is more than a match for the mysterious, dashing billionaire with a penchant for robbing banks.
Here, the pair relaxes during a break in filming the flick, Dunaway smoldering away to the obvious fascination of the King.
Interesting footnote: in the film, Dunaway briefly drives an incredible Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder, the first of only 10 ever built.
Our kind of girl for sure…
