Last month we told you about preparations for Aston Martin’s 100th Anniversary.
Today marks the official start of the celebrations, and to commemorate the occasion, the marque has unveiled a new bespoke version of its ultimate GT, the Vanquish.
The new bespoke Centenary Edition Vanquish has a number of suitably celebratory touches, including more silver than your grandmother’s cutlery drawer.
A new special edition for Aston’s 100th anniversary
For starters, solid sterling silver Aston Martin wings badges with “trans flux” enamel inlay and a special Aston Martin hallmark might give you an idea.
Then you get a custom graduated exterior finish that adds 18 painstaking hours to the painting process and a Deep Soft black leather interior—previously featuring only in Aston’s One-77 hypercar—with contrasting silver stitching and a special silver thread embroidery of the Aston Martin wings in the head restraints.
And, of course, solid sterling silver sill plaques.
Each Centenary Edition model also comes with a presentation box containing a number of exclusive gifts to mark the 100th anniversary.
Glass keys with bespoke key pouches made from leather matching the car’s interior trim, solid silver cufflinks featuring the Aston Martin script, a solid silver Rollerball pen and high-quality Bang & Olufsen headphones are among the goodies.
More sterling silver than your grandmother’s cutlery drawer
Only 100 Centenary Vanquishes will be available by special order, and Aston plans to offer the same customization on 100 examples each of the V8 Vantage, DB9 and Rapide.
While you’re busy getting the money together, we’ll be bringing you more amuse-bouches for Aston’s 100th, so keep the engine running…
