With a little more than a week to go before RM Auctions’ amazing Arizona sale, we bring you this mouthwatering 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta “Competizione” set to cross the block.
Designed by Pinin Farina with coachwork by the famed Carrozzeria Scaglietti, it’s one of just 74 built for the world’s most discerning gentlemen racers.
The example on offer is considered one of the “purest,” with impeccable provenance and paperwork.
The combo of the powerful race-tuned Colombo V-12 engine and the beautiful bodywork regularly earns it an invite to the world’s best classic sports car events, including Cavallino, the Quail, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Monterey Historics and more.
RM has not released an estimate on it, except to note that in a field of multimillion-dollar vehicles it’s likely to be the top performer.
