Time for another look at the great new ad campaign from Ghurka, the leather goods company with a bang-on British colonial flair founded by designer Marley Hodgson in 1975 and recently relaunched.

The brand commissioned lensman Thomas Lagrange to “peek” inside the bags of five Ghurka men.

Capturing the “practical, telling and sometimes incriminating items we carry with us,” Lagrange’s assemblages make us want to think a lot more about what we put into our bags.

Here, we have an investment banker type who totes around shotgun shells, boxing gloves, poker chips, some evening wear essentials and a good bottle of wine.

If the right hook doesn’t work, you can always just hit them with the bordeaux…
