Not to be outdone by all the high-profile debuts at the Paris Motor Show, Audi pulled the sheet off its controversial Crosslane Coupe concept – you guessed it – part coupe, part crossover and part convertible.
Made of a mix of of aluminum, carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and fiberglass-reinforced polymer to create a “multimaterial” space frame, it’s a hybrid of course.
With 176 horses from the various power sources it does 0-62 mph in a leisurely 8.6 seconds but doesn’t use very much gas to do so.
The top slides off, naturally, but only when you want it to.
We think Audi might be trying a bit to hard to please all the people all the time with this Swiss Army Knife on wheels, how about you….?
