Along Came a Spyder
Porsche has just announced that its naughty 918 Spyder prototype scored a lap time of 7 minutes and 14 seconds at the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife track in Germany, where supercars are put through their paces.
The impressive achievement, one of the best times ever recorded for a street-legal vehicle with standard tires – and from a standing start no less – puts the 770 hp hybrid in the exalted company of exotics like the Gumpert Apollo Sport.
Along came a Spyder indeed….
