The Saint’s BMW
Ian Ogilvy, who replaced Roger Moore as Simon Templar in The Return of The Saint, was responsible for amping up the secret agent’s garage beyond a Volvo P1800 with a 1,000cc BMW bike.
“It was my idea that Simon Templar should have a motorcycle as well as a car,” Ogilvy noted in 1978. ”After all, there are times when it can be more useful.”
