We’re back with another bare metal beauty from RM Auctions’ Monterey sale on August 17-18 in California.
This is a 1962 Cooper Monaco Sports Racer that we’ve admired greatly in the past.
The Van Housen Motors/ex-William Sturgis, Graham Hill-Laguna Seca competitor was raced by multiple Formula 1 World Championship driver and Indy 500 winner Graham Hill.
Cooper is a very cool British marque that’s sadly a thing of the past, though it lives on in the name of some of MINI’s cooler models.
Founded in 1946 in Surrey, UK, it went on to become world-famous for racing prowess.
We for one will never forget it…
