Meet James Lamdin, DRIVEN correspondent and watch and car expert extraordinaire, crusing around Kennebunkport, Maine, in his 1967 Porsche 912 Coupe, a four-cylinder variant of the legendary 911.
The color is not in point of fact British racing green but “Irish Green.”
Once a popular color option from the factory in Stuttgart, these days a vintage green Porsche is a rare sight.

After 40 years of snubbing the shade since the days of the 912, however, the famed German marque is once again offering a similar hue in a just-announced special edition 911.
If you’re lucky, you might just catch James sporting gems like an original GMT–Master on a Crown and Buckle NATO strap, ripping around the back roads of Southern Maine or the mean streets of Manhattan.
For some strange reason, he seems to prefer the latter…
