There are few names worthy of mention in hushed tones when discussing high-performance automobile design.

Bertone is one them, and not by default.

For the last century, the Italian design firm has been creating some of the world’s most impressive vehicles.

What started in Turin with horse-drawn carriages at the hands of Giovanni Bertone grew into one of the greatest auto designers under the direction of his son, Nuccio.

Over the course of its 100-year history, Bertone has styled cars for the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley and dozens of others.

Today, seated in the mountains on the border where Italy meets France, they continue to take designs from paper to pavement in a facility befitting a Bond villain.

Throughout the factory, their most iconic and celebrated designs are on display, truly a sight to behold.

Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari GT4, Fiat Dino, Lamborghini Countach, Alfa Romeo 2600—the high-octane name-dropping could go on for while, and that’s just the first level.

Downstairs the list continues, with the “B” badge shining on every model.

We almost made a grab for the Countach, but they’d wisely neglected to leave the key in the ignition…
