Our favorite online eyewear boutique Eyegoodies just tipped us off to another great update of the timeless aviator shade:
The new “Hong Kong Motorcycle Club” collection from Cutler and Gross’ Spring Summer 2012 range.
“The inspiration for the collection can be traced back 50 years, but Cutler and Gross has added something dark and luxurious to a standard vintage look,” Eyegoodies’ style god Frank Scious tells us.

Using components like titanium, Carl Zeiss Vision lenses and gold plating, the collection is the “ultimate marriage of classic style with unquestionable quality.”
The Cutler and Gross 1055 (above) is a meticulously designed and perfectly executed piece of peeper protection.
From top to bottom, no detailed has been overlooked.
Seamlessly combining metal with acetate temples, the 1055 features a diamond-patterned rim-wire engraving, diamond-headed pins and an authoritative brow bar.
Joe Strummer would’ve killed for a pair of these…
