Not to be outdone by all the eye-popping debuts at the Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti unveiled an open-top version of its incomparable Grand Sport, packing the power of the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport it brought out last year to much acclaim.

The world’s fastest production roadster ever.

The world’s fastest production roadster ever, the Vitesse delivers an incredible 1,200 hp, allowing it to do 0-62 mph in only 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 255 mph.

And like all Veyrons, it’s all-wheel drive to boot.

“We were instantly electrified by the idea of transferring the power of the 1,200 hp Super Sport to the Grand Sport,” says Wolfgang Dürheimer, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.

“Our team has managed to transfer the world’s most powerful car engine to the open-top sports car while taking all vehicle dynamics and aerodynamic parameters into consideration.”

The price for this orgy of automotive excess?

€1.75 million euros, or about $2.4 million.

In other words, cheap at twice the price…
