In 1977, Aston Martin resurrected the Vantage sobriquet for its voluptuous V8 sports saloon, and the following year the model earned the title of “world’s fastest accelerating production car,” doing 0-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 175 mph.
With such high performance, aerodynamic refinements were called for and the example from 1981 on offer here looks every inch the fire-breathing but well-bred British dragon.
Finished in an amazing shade of Sebring Blue, it’s a steal at up to about $75,000.
