A 1961 “barn find” Ferrari 250GTE 2+2 Series 1 Coupé that belonged to “Dino” De Laurentiis, the famed Italian producer who won Oscars for La Strada and Nights of Cabiria, will be offered at Bonhams’ Collectors’ Motor Cars and Automobilia sale in Oxford, UK, on March 3.

De Laurentiis was an old-school Hollywood mafia type as well known for his “serious” flicks as for extremely entertaining, stylish dross like Barbarella and Danger: Diabolik—one of our all-time favorites (below) packed with lots of babes and E-Types.

With coachwork by Pininfarina, the slightly rusty car is estimated to sell for up to about $95,000.

Granted it needs some work, but surely the peculiar provenance is worth it…
