At Bonhams’ Paris sale on February 2, the auction house is offering one of the most eye-popping examples of the breed we’ve ever seen.
The 1953 MV Agusta 175cc “Disco Volante” model comes complete with a matching sidecar in stylish two-tone, period-correct paint.
Estimated at up to about $17,000, it gets its name not from any musical connection but rather its sculpted, nearly circular fuel tank that looked to some like a flying saucer.
