If you’ve never heard of British designer Nick Ashley, it’s because he toiled for years under the aegis of Alfred Dunhill, where he was head of menswear.

Son of the famed British design icon Laura Ashley, Nick is an avid motorcycle racer and all-round automotive enthusiast who placed second in the Paris–Dakar rally in 2000 at the wheel of a Land Rover.

The former Dunhill designer opens his own London outpost

Pictured are some of his classic designs for Dunhill; he continues to produce performance-oriented clothing with a motoring influence for the UK’s Private White V.C. label, and recently opened his own supercool shop in London, Ashley Stores.
