We shed a tear as venerable Swedish automaker Saab was finally forced into bankruptcy the other day; it was at the wheel of a 900 Turbo that we first learned to flaunt traffic laws after all.

Despite some missteps, Saab, which started out making airplanes in 1937, has always represented a solid sort of Scandinavian sportiness.
