Among single malt aficionados, Black Bowmore from the famed Islay distillery is a rarity to be savored—or, in the case of Scrooge-like “collectors,” locked away in a secure cellar.
The Bonhams Whisky sale in New York on December 8 features a couple different examples of the elite elixir distilled way back in 1964, including a “Final Edition” bottled in 1995.
Estimated at up to $3,500, it’s the kind of stuff that’s called for when you’re serious about breaking out “the good Scotch…”
