In 2006 the last TVR rolled off the production line, ending the sad decline of a distinctive British sports car marque with a heritage dating back to the 1940s.
Under the new ownership of Russian oligarch Nikolai Smolensky, the brand is being revivified, sort of.

While there have been delays in creating a new model, dubbed the MD-1, based on the old Tuscan S chassis, for the moment the firm, now based in Austria, plans to overhaul, upgrade and update existing examples, including brand-new engines.
We’ve always had a soft spot for TVRs so would look forward to any new iteration.
